Carrying Size Basics: The Right Fit We are talking here about flights, so the perfect use should fit the cabin on the plane. Different airlines advertise different sizes
But 22 “x 14” x 9 “will be the main standard at the moment. It is always subject to change though! Check the latest airline updates before traveling. They are giving more and more storage space all the time.
A rectangular bag that fills these dimensions when empty, has no room for expansion, and therefore will not fit. It’s not necessarily a bad thing – overpacking but it’s something to keep in mind.
If your bag is flexible enough to expand when the bag is packed, and you plan to pack it to its full capacity, then the bag should be slightly smaller than 22 “x 14” x 9 “max.
Do not forget you are going to drag this thing around the airports all the time, from one place to another so it is important to remember hassle free as much as possible !!.:
It is important that the bag wheels are free to move 360 degrees. Seriously, it makes a huge difference. If the wheels are locked at one angle, the bag starts to tilt each time you change direction.
Rotating the wheels saves a lot of unnecessary stops and pain in the wrist.
Long telescopic handles. The particularly tall guys need to find a bag with handles that reach all the way to waist height. The more you bend over to pull the bag you will only feel the lower back !!!
